Morado is a dense and visually striking exotic hardwood prized for its rich brown color, dramatic dark streaking, and fine texture. Also known as Bolivian Rosewood or Pau Ferro, Morado can range from warm reddish brown and chocolate brown to deeper violet-brown tones, often accented by contrasting dark brown or nearly black grain lines. Its distinctive appearance and ability to take a smooth, polished finish make it an excellent choice for furniture, accent pieces, boxes, turning, and other specialty woodworking projects.
