8/4 African Mahogany is a versatile hardwood prized for its warm reddish-brown color, attractive grain, dimensional stability, and excellent workability. Its grain can range from relatively straight and uniform to interlocked with distinctive ribbon-like figure. The additional thickness of 8/4 stock makes it especially well suited for substantial furniture components, table legs, thick tabletops, turning projects, and specialty applications where strength, stability, and natural beauty are desired.
