8/4 Sapele is a rich, versatile hardwood known for its warm reddish-brown color, distinctive interlocked grain, and attractive natural luster. Quartersawn surfaces can display dramatic ribbon-like figure, adding depth and visual interest to finished projects. The additional thickness of 8/4 stock makes it especially well suited for substantial furniture components, table legs, thick tabletops, turning projects, and specialty applications where Sapele's color and grain can become a prominent part of the design.
