8/4 Tigerwood is a bold and durable tropical hardwood prized for its rich color, exceptional density, and unmistakable dark striping. Its heartwood ranges from golden orange and reddish brown to deeper brown tones, accented by irregular dark brown to nearly black streaks that create its distinctive "tiger" appearance. The substantial thickness of 8/4 stock makes it especially well suited for thick furniture components, substantial tabletops, turning projects, and other specialty applications where Tigerwood's dramatic natural character can take center stage.
Species: Tigerwood / Goncalo Alves (Astronium spp.)
Thickness: 8/4 (approximately 2" in the rough)
Width: 4"–9" random widths
